someone who reads.
Retouch exists because a marketer kept getting beautiful pages from an AI and could not fix a single word in them without asking the AI again, or opening VS Code.

Founder of Wozku · creator of Advocacy-Led Growth · @doubts
Roy coined Advocacy-Led Growth in 2024 after noticing the same pattern everywhere: every event, certification and onboarding produces a moment where people want to share, and most companies miss it. He turned the pattern into a framework, built in the open, and founded Wozku, the first platform made for teams that run on it.
He wanted to be a poet. He builds platforms for ideas instead, and keeps a room for the ideas that don't fit at doubts.page.
Why this exists
Why does every new medium start by imitating the one it was supposed to replace? AI writes web pages, and we read them like paper.
Markdown has Obsidian: you read it and you edit it in the same place. HTML, the format every AI reaches for when it wants to show you something, has a browser tab. You can look. You cannot touch. A wrong number in a report means another prompt, another wait, and a new file that may have changed three other things while it was at it.
That is not an editing problem. It is a distribution problem, the same one Roy works on at Wozku: the moment someone wants to change or share what is in front of them, the tool should get out of the way. Retouch is that idea applied to a single file on your own disk.
It was built quickly, with an AI in the loop, on the pages it was meant to fix. That seemed like the only honest way to make it.
What it refuses to do
A tool that writes to your files earns trust by what it won't touch.
- 1Nothing leaves your machine. No server, no account, no upload, no analytics. The extension asks for the minimum Chrome permits and nothing else.
- 2Byte for byte. Only the text you changed is rewritten. Spacing, comments and scripts stay exactly as your AI left them.
- 3Only what the page already knows. Colors, fonts and styles come from the page's own stylesheet, described in plain words. Nothing is invented, so nothing looks pasted in.
- 4Honest about scripts. Text a script generates at load is refused rather than quietly corrupted.
- 5Open. MIT licensed. Read it, fork it, keep it.

Bugs, odd pages and ideas go to hello@fastretouch.com or the issue tracker. The stranger who tried it first jumped. That's the bar.
